Product Lifecycle

Engineering
DFM, or Design for Manufacturing, is the process of engineering the product file to be compatible with the constraints of injection molding. For example, the product's wall thickness and consistency, radiuses, and flow capability are all considered when preparing for manufacturing.

Prototyping
Prototyping can save money, time, and future revisions. The earlier changes can be captured in the product development process, the better. Lakeshore Plastics offers numerous 3D printing options to test your product in the real world.

Tooling
Often referred to as "tooling", the molds and other components necessary to manufacture a part can be built or procured through Lakeshore Plastics. Precision machining equipment is on-site to fabricate, maintain, or even repair tooling.

Production
Plastic injection presses are available on-site, where the Lakeshore Plastics team of experts can help scale your production from a few hundred pieces to hundreds of thousands, or more. Capability, capacity, and other details can be found here: click here
